ABOUT ME

Deborah has over 25 years experience of counselling individuals and couples. For the last 10 years, she has been growing her private practice as an integrative counsellor more recently opening a counselling clinic in West Bridgford.

During this time noticing how stress can be a precursor to mental and physical health problems, she attended a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course which led her to train to be a mindfulness teacher training at Bangor University, Centre of Mindfulness Research and Practice (CRMP). She continues to support her personal wellbeing through her own mindfulness practice, whilst delivering Mindfulness courses and counselling. 

She attends regular retreats, training and practice days.  She has completed her training to teach young people with Youth Mindfulness https://youthmindfulness.org/ and for her continued personal development an 8 week Mindfulness and Self Compassion Course with Patrizia Collard international author and teacher .

She adheres to the CMRP Good Practice Guidance for teaching mindfulness-based approaches. She has regular supervision to support her mindfulness teaching and counselling practice, additionally, as an accredited member counsellor of BACP ( British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), she adheres to their code of practice and ethics.
